  I was just passing through and saw the decorations for Mauritius' 50 years of independence decorations.

  Historic place at the entrance of Port Louis. Quite scenic with its majestic palm trees on both sides of the road. Place d'armes is also where all the main branches of the main banks in Mauritius are. It is within walking distance from the bazaar of Port Louis as well as many other important roads.
